One at a time
(1) the effectiveness to impress or amuse people,
(2) the punch line, which is the final part of the joke that makes it funny
Man: God, can I ask you something?
God: Of course. What is it?
Man: What is for you a second?
God: A million years.
Man: And what is, for you, a million dollars.
God: a cent.
Man: God, can you give me a cent?
God: Wait a second.
The punch line is underlined. The punch is that the supposedly all-loving, all-giving God is as tricky as some Jews, self-mockingly, present themselves.
