Context:

Man: "I mean... they were just kids. Alright? I mean... it was hysterical to watch the parents, alright... ask theses kids like they didn't know what they were doing. Here they were, caught in cold blood. Ok? At this party. And the parents are still maintaning, with composure, asking with a totally straight face questions like: "what's that pipe doing in your hand?"

Right - you DO something in cold blood (you can look that up), but you are caught red-handed.

Someone mixed these things up, I think.
