    another serving

    I ate my lunch in 2 to 3 minutes so that I could get another serving.
    (I found this in a book of conversation, Is it good English?

    Good English, yes, but probably not good manners!
    I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.
