    Will or would in this sentence?

    In a typical day, he will take two Tylenol to ease his pain.

    or

    In a typical day, he would take two Tylenol to ease his pain.


    I am wondering when I use the word "typically" do I use will or would

    Both. Will means it is still his habit now. Would means it was his past habit.
    I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.

    If you are speaking generally you should say "will" meaning an action he usually does in case something happens. However I think you could be speaking about the past and then "would" would be OK, too.
