    synonyms for "to cram"

    Hello,

When pupils or sudents get ready for an examination they often cram information learning it by heart and not always trying to understand what it means and what its sense is. What other synonyms do you use for "cram"?

Take a look at the bottom of this page: cram - definition of cram by the Free Online Dictionary, Thesaurus and Encyclopedia.

That's one of the reasons I use that site---it has a nice thesaurus section.

Some nice students would only swot! Or, swot it up!
And some others mug it up!

Thanks!!! A very good link indeed. That's what I've found:

bone, bone up, grind away, mug up, swot, swot up, drum, get up

Are they all used as synonyms?
