    the light

    Dear all,

What is the meaning of "light" in the following context:

"A man scratched his car. He went to his friend's place to fix it but said the his wife is the one who scrached the car, and not him... Then he said to himself:

(MY FRIEND DOESNíT NEED TO KNOW THAT THE LIGHT ATTACKED ME. ITíS A GUY THING.)

    Thanks a lot.

I am guessing that he hit a lamppost while driving and was too embarrassed to admit it. He is being ironic when he says that the light (i.e. the lamppost) hit him.

That make a lot of sense, yes.

    Can't thank you enough.
