List of Presidents of the United States - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Barack Obama is the 44th President of the US, if that is what you are asking. (Counting Grover Cleveland twice, as he was the 22nd and 24th President.)
The term of office for the president of the USA is four years, if that's what you are asking, but I don't think it is.
I'd say about three times a month, someone wants to know how to ask "How manieth was he?" and that word just doesn't exist.
"What number president was he?" This is as close as you will get, even if the answer to that is technically "44," because you'll still get "He was the 16th president" (or whatever president he was).
I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.
