Do these two expressions make sense to you?

    Hi,

Do these two expressions make sense to you?

    Imagine that!
    Imagine it!

If the sentece makes sense to you, can you tell me what it means? If not, just let me know it makes no sense. Thanks a lot.

Re: Do these two expressions make sense to you?

I've just told you something amazing. I end with "Imagine that!"

I'm about to tell you something that is visionary, maybe not yet possible. I begin with "Imagine it!" This sets the stage.
I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.

Re: Do these two expressions make sense to you?

    Thanks a lot, dude.

Please take a look at my self-made context, see whether it makes sense to you:

-We've used out all the money! We don't even have enough money to go back home!

-Shall we rob a convenient store?

    -Imagine that!/Imagine it!

    Thanks a lot

Either, depending what is in the speaker's mind - see Barb's helpful post.
