[General] what's related "feel complete" with "cigarette"?

Chandler: Don't think of it as a cigarette. Think of it as the thing that's been missing from your hand. When you're holding it, you feel right. You feel complete.

or maybe cause I don't smoke, I can't feel it

I'm not a native speaker but I hear this phrase frequently.

I think: I feel complete = I'm so satisfied with this thing in my life.:roll:

The meaning of "complete" is explained in

Think of it as the thing that's been missing from your hand.

When something is missing from your hand, you may feel incomplete, lacking some part. When it's not missing, you may feel complete, because the part is in its place.
