Hi,

Question1:
Are both sentences used correctly?
Question2:
Is it usual to use “As” when the sentence is in past tense?

Sentence1:
As an accountant in ABC Ltd, I am accountable for producing transaction report.
Use: This indicates I work ABC Ltd now.

Sentence2:
As an accountant in ABC Ltd, I was accountable for producing transaction report.
Use: This indicates I left ABC Ltd.

Thanks

You can't say "for producing transaction" -- you need to say "for producing transactions."

Also, in US English we would say "As an accountant atABC Ltd" and "I was responsible for"

I know what you mean when you say "accountable for" but it sounds funny.

hi,

why "producing transaction report" is incorrect?

is it because there are more than 1 transaction?
and thus "producing transactions report" is correct?

thanks

I think "producing transaction reports" would be best.

hi,

why "producing transaction report" is incorrect?...

Because it needs either an article or a plural;
is it because there are more than 1 transaction?
and thus "producing transactions report" is correct?

thanks

No. There are several reports

Hi,

And as an aside we'd say, 'why is xxxx incorrect', not 'why xxx is incorrect'

Regards
