Hi, I'm writing our wedding invitations and having trouble working out where to put the comma/commas.

"We are very sorry, but, due to restricted numbers, we are unable to invite children unless they are family."

The commas in red are where I think they might be!

Thanks in advance

NOT A TEACHER.

I think you could leave out the comma after "but"; you don't have to, though.

I'm not sure what you mean by "restricted numbers."

You only need a comma after 'sorry'.

Guests will know what you mean by 'restricted numbers'.
