Fifteen days ago a friend of mine who studies english like me dropped in on me and we shared our knowledge of language as usual. At the time he was leaving, I told him :

Thank you for dopping in

Then we continued to talk for a little while, and as he was leaving again I told him :

Thank you for coming

Yesterday I was speaking with him on the phone and, when we finished our conversation I told him :

Thank you for having come the other day and come again

Is the phrase FOR HAVING COME correct ? I'm doubtful about it

Please, reply me

Fifteen (days?) ago a friend of mine, who is an English student like me, dropped [STRIKE]me [/STRIKE] in and we shared our knowledge of language as usual. At the time he[STRIKE]'s[/STRIKE] was leaving, I told [STRIKE]you [/STRIKE] him:

Thank you for dopping in :tick:

Then we [STRIKE]follow [/STRIKE] continued to talk for a little while, and as he[STRIKE]'s[/STRIKE] was leaving again I told [STRIKE]you [/STRIKE]him:

Thank you for coming :tick:

Yesterday I was speaking with him [STRIKE]by [/STRIKE] on the phone and, when we finished our conversation I told [STRIKE]you [/STRIKE]him:

Thank you for having come the other day, and come again. IMO it is correct, although I would say "thank you for dropping by the other day." Of course, native speakers may as well correct me if I'm wrong

[STRIKE]Does [/STRIKE] Is the phrase FOR HAVING COME correct ? I'm doubtful about it

You are not wrong Charliedeut, but I think that most native speakers would say simply, "Thank you for coming/dropping by/dropping in".
