    Question "surplus money"?

    Hi,
Could anyone please tell me what the problem(s) with this sentence is?

'...we need surplus money to obtain talented actors.'

Any better terms for the bolded items?

    Thanks a lot.

    Perhaps "extra/more money" and "hire/employ".

If you have more money than you need, you have surplus money.
