    clap in hands

    Dear Teachers,

    does the phrase clap in hands exist? If yes, does it mean the same as clap one's hands.

    4ania4, I wonder if you have misheard the phrase "cap in hand".
    If so, it means to do something in a humble way, especially if you are asking for a favour.
    "He went to his father, cap in hand, to ask for money".
