    position of Jo

Tom only contacted Jo while he was not happy, lonely. Every time they were together, they had sex. They never went out as boy friend or girl friend. They never regarded the time they were together as a date. However, Jo has been completely infatuated with him for long.

    a) Then, how should I describe

    1) the position of Jo from Tom's side?

    2) that kind of relationship?

    b) Shall I say "Tom has been cheating Jo."

    Re: position of Jo

I would say that Tom was using Jo. If Jo's infatuation was obvious to Tom, and he knew that their occasional romps were prolonging the infatuation, then he was abusing her.
