    nudge

The inflation may nudge upward. I was wondering if it's possible to say that something nudges down?

    Re: nudge

Yes, it just means a very slight movement.

    Fixed typo: "just" was "must"

I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.
