    to/for - confused

    Can I use both "to" and "for" in this context?

    There are disadvantages to/for the digital age.

    Do you have any guidelines of when to use "to" or "for" for me to adhere to?

    The word 'disadvantage' is followed by the preposition 'to':

    There are a couple of disadvantages to the scheme.
