    one question

    Hi Teacher,

Could you please tell me the meaning of the following sentence?

If I were a man who felt it worth my while to laugh I would surely laugh at that.

    Thanks a lot.

There is something wrong with your above sentence. The "my" should be "his".
Correct it and compare it with the sentence below, and probably then you would understand what it means:-
"If I were a man who felt that that job was worthwhile for him, I would surely take that job."

The sentence is perfectly fine the way it is, Chrischen. It means, if he could in some way benefit from laughing he would laugh.

I agree with Cassiopeia, I believe it's correct as written.

If I were a man who felt it worth my while to laugh, I would laugh at that.
(If I believed that laughing was a good thing to do, I would laught at that.... but since I believe that laughing is a waste of time, I will not.)
