"The friend zone" is for a guy who is friend of someone not lover
and "mayor of the friend zone" is someone who is really into it
Then, I'm curious if I can use some words with "mayor of" in this way
like if you win the game, can I say "you are mayor of the Twister"
Calling someone the "mayor of the Twister" almost works, but not as well as in the "friend zone" case, because Twister isn't really a place like a zone. "Mayor of the friend zone" works because it takes a phrase with the word "zone" and makes zone even more real - as if there really was a place called the friend zone.
