In the following sentence should it be "subject to" or "subjected to"? I get very confused as previous boss had used "subject to" and current boss had used "subjected to":
'If companies insisted for the product to carry therapeutic claims, they would then be subjected to pre-market control under ABC'.
'If companies insisted for the product to carry therapeutic claims, they would then be subjected to pre-market control under ABC'.
