    I would like to know What is the right sentence:
    I lived in Madrid from 1950 to 1956
    I lived in Madrid since 1950 until 1956

    You could use "from ... to" or "from ... until"


    "Since" is only used to indicate an ongoing action. I have lived in Cairo since 1983. (This means I still live in Cairo.)
