Which is correct "Needed Urgently" or "Urgently Needed"?"

    Hello dear all,
I would like to know the correct form to write this form of "Needed Urgently". I want to say "Editor's action needed urgently". Is this way right or should I write it the other way "Editor's action urgently needed".
I would appreciate an explanation why we used the correct form.
    Thanks in advance.

Re: Which is correct "Needed Urgently" or "Urgently Needed"?"

There's no difference and both sound fine, but the entire thing sounds like a headline.

The action of an editor is [urgently needed][needed urgently].
    An editor's input/review is...
    Or simply "Editing is...
I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.

    Doudz,

    (1) The moderator has already given you an excellent answer.

    (2) May I add my comments?

    (3) The placement of adverbs is a very interesting matter.

    (4) Perhaps you might be interested in the opinion of a book

entitled Making Sense of Grammar by Mr. John Clark Jordan,

    a college professor.

    (a) Professor Clark believes that if you consider the adverb to be

essential to the meaning of your sentence, then you should put

    it after the verb.

    (i) In saying your sentence out loud, if you emphasize (a strong

pronunciation) urgently, then perhaps it might be better to write:

An editor's action is needed urgently.

(ii) Professor Clark explains that in that position, the adverb is

more of a complement ( = completes the full meaning of the thought

that you wish to express in writing). If you place the adverb, in

any other position, Professor Clark feels, it is only a modifier.

(iii) Professor Clark gives these examples:

    Slowly, the man spoke.
    The man slowly spoke.
    The man spoke slowly.

In Professor Clark's opinion, slowly in the first two sentences

are modifiers. In the last sentence, he feels that slowly is a complement

because it "express[es] something more than merely the fact of

    his speaking."

That is no more correct than 'needed urgently'. Read what Barb and Parser wrote.
