    I would like to know which sentence is correct.
    If both are correct , I wonder if there is subtle difference between "1" and "2".
    1. The suspect took off and left him injured.
    2. The suspect left him injured and took off.

    I would say the first one because I consider "left him injured" as a result of "took off". When I say "He took off" I feel there is also a need to say what happened to the victim. But when I say "He left him injured" I feel that I have said what I had to say and it's almost obvious that the suspect has taken off afterwards.

    They're both correct. As the sequence is clear, changing the order might have some small difference of emphasis.
