    Smile the usage of enough

"It was poor enough meal, they ate every bit of it."
According to Oxford dictionary, there are three meanings of "enough"
    1)to neccessary degree
    2) to an acceptable degree, but not a very great degree
3)to a degree that you did'nt wish to get greater
Which meaning does this "enough" in this sentence apply to?
If possible, please tell me what nyance is "every bit of it"?

Your sentence doesn't make sense. It might be:
"Although it was a poor enough meal, they ate every bit of it."
"It was poor enough meal, but they ate every bit of it."

This is an inverted sense of 'enough'. I think in this case it means something like, "Although the meal was poor enough that they normally wouldn't want to eat it, ..."
"Although it was not really good enough to eat, ..."
    It seems to mean 1.

Smile Re: the usage of enough

You're right. The correct sentence is "It wasa poor enough meal, but to them it seemed wonderful....".I made a mistake.
    Thank you for your help.
