    Would for past?

I found in a grammar book that i can use these structures talking about a past habbit.
When I was a student, I studied for ten hours every Saturday.
When I was a student, I used to study for ten hours every Saturday.
When I was a student, I would study for ten hours every Saturday.

The third option sounds wird to me...but english is not my first language...
    Any idea?

'Would' is perfectly acceptable for past habitual actions.
