I am recognized for making a real contribution to the company

    Hi,

    Backgound:

I have made a real contribution to the company.
However, the above statement needs to be agreed by someone.

    Question:
Based on the background, is the below sentence sensible ?

    Sentence:
I am recognized for making a real contribution to the company.
    Example1
    Example2
    ......

    My opinion:
I think it is correct to say "I am recognized for"

    Thanks

It sounds a bit like an empty claim as it stands- who recognises it and how?

I won't mention "who", but I will give examples of my contributions

If you say you are recognized by other for this, then cite awards you have received.
I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.

Re: I am recognized for making a real contribution to the company

I think that stating the achievements might be enough- the recognition still seems a bit of a self-made claim unless they're going to act as referees. Others may feel differently about this, though.

Re: I am recognized for making a real contribution to the company

The main point is that you cannot say that your contributions have been recognised unless you say how they have been recognised. There is no way round this.
