Hello dear friends

I think that "broken" is the adjective form of the verb "brake".Am I right?

like in the example:broken leg

But I'm not sure if the past participles of verbs are their adjective forms

ex:defeated,beated,broken,amputated head,known city...

are those all the adjective forms of their verbs

thanks for your responses

Hello dear friends,

I think that "broken" is the adjective form of the verb "brake".Am I right? No - the verb is break.

like in the example:broken leg

But I'm not sure if the past participles of verbs are their adjective forms

ex:defeated,beated,broken,amputated head,known city...

are those all the adjective forms of their verbs? Yes - except that beated should be beaten.

Thanks for your responses,

Your thanks are appreciated, egerol, but I would encourage you to write in standard English in the forum as an example to other students.
