    definite article before possessive genitive

    Hi, everybody,

If Tom has several brothers, and I want to refer to one of them being the one who did something, is it possible to say:

The Tom's brother who went to X last year...

    Another one:

He disguises in a beggar Jimmy Rose.
If the beggar is obviously identified, since we know his name, is it possible to say a beggar Jimmy Rose?

    I am not a teacher.

I guess you mean, "He is disguised as a beggar Jimmy Rose."

No, for the very reason you state it must be "the". There is only one beggar involved whose name is Jimmy Rose.
