    go along

    Dear all,

What is the meaning of "go along" in:

"A: Why didn't you stop him shooting? He could have killed me.
B: How could I? He wouldn't let me go along. So I had to follow."

    Thanks a lot.

It seems to mean 'He wouldn't let me go with him'.
