Question What does "the unused" mean here?

In an episode of a British Tv series "Silk",there is a conversation between a female barrister and Nick, her new pupil.Part of their conversation goes as follow:
    -Three convictions for burglary.
    -We've had this conversation.
-But obviously his acquittal last year for another burglary isn't on the list of previous. But it is in the unused.
-That's because it's an acquittal Nick.
I know the "previous" means previous criminal record. But I failed to understand the meaning of "the unused" here.So please some help me.

Re: What does "the unused" mean here?

I'm guessing here, but I wouldn't be surprised in 'Unused' was the heading for a column in a table of information. It's not an abbreviation that's in colloquial use. Don't worry about it.
