    That's all a bit heavy for me!

    The first two can be read as 'but' - pointing out the conflict between action and reaction or knowledge and action.

    The third can be read as 'still' - they will still be arguing when the blast hits them.

    Here is one of the threads: adverb or conjunction (yet)

    I think that one of the problems, eagleye, is that many native speakers find the language used in religious texts so far removed from the language of everyday speech that they skip to more clearly manageable posts.

    I didn't answer because conjunctions are the devil (so to speak). The topic is extremely difficult, and I didn't want to get dragged in over my head.

    Sometimes a question goes begging. It hurts, but it happens.
