If you use present perfect (has completed and have requested), it sounds like you are still on the bus right now.
1) I missed my stop, so I decided to continue taking the bus until it completed its route, started again and got back to my stop. I had to stay on the bus while it stopped at every stop along the route.
2) I requested to stop at the wrong (bus) stop. I requested that the bus stop at the wrong (bus) stop. I would probably say, "I pushed the button at the wrong time."
