I'd be more lkely to say "in the Southeast Asia region." Why not just use "in Southeast Asia?"

I am not a teacher.

Style note: In American English, some compass points are written differently than in British English. The British "south-east" is the American "southeast".

In your sentence, "region" is redundant---"South-East Asia" is a region by definition, so your question is moot. Simply write "South-East Asia".
