    birthday boy

    1. Shall we all send a birthday greeting to the birthday boy. Let's say 'Happy Birthday' to Tom.
    2. We would like to see Tom to make a wish, blow the candle and have his first cut on the cake.

Are the above sentences appropriate to talk to the kids in 5 years old?

    Thank you.

Yes, except that the last could be better.

We would like to see Tom make a wish, blow out the candle and cut the first slice of cake.

    Re: birthday boy

In the first, you could use a verb like give as you're there- send sounds like you're going to send a card to me.
