    singular or plural

1.Now shipping and customer service are both downstairs.
Is the sentences correct? Can we use "is" or "services " instead?
2.Then do what I do. Sweet talk them into giving you a good score.
    Should we use talking instead?
    Thanks for your help!

    Re: singular or plural

    1. is correct. Don't use is. Use either service or services.

    2. Then do what I do: sweet talk them into giving you a good score. (Not talking.)

As for 1. I agree with you. As for 2. sure thing , talk is a noun ,sweet is an adjective, from which we can come to the conclusion that a noun can have the same collocation as its verb.Is that right?
    Thanks more!

I should have hyphenated the verb sweet-talk

    sweet-talk
    ▶verb
