Hi All,

Could you clarify me the usage of "Pride" or basically correct my sentences?

Here are some sentences i have written, I got puzzled:-D
By the way, i really clueless if "the"' should be before the subject (father)!

The father pride of his son.

The father pride in his son.

The father pride his son on!

The father prides himself on!

The father prides on himself.

The father prides of himself.

They are all incorrect as sentences. "The father prides himself on..." is grammatically correct as part of a sentence.

The father is proud of his son sounds more natural to me.

Or you could say:

The father takes pride in her son.
