    Talking what is it mean?

    Good morning, people!

My student asked to me what "counter strike" means

I know that it is game, a violent game of guns. But this word, "counter strike", is it about a shooter or something like that?

I'll hope for some help, ok!

    Bye

Question Re: what is it mean?

It means: doing to another what has been done to us; retaliation.

Country A bombs Country B so Country B will counter strike County A.

If this is a game, then the name means to fight back after being attacked.

    Re: what is it mean?

    Ecuador Zero.
One force (eg an army) attacks another force, when the other force strikes back, that is a counterstrike. It's usually a single word where "counter-" is a prefix denoting, in this case, retaliation, as with counterattack.

    not a teacher

PS: After a little checking I think that "counterstrike" is slightly favoured over "counter strike", but the game is called "Counter-Strike"... with "counter-strike" showing up generally as well.
