    Lighting fixture

How would you refer to this sort of lamp: pendant light, drop, suspender, something else?

    nyota.
In these parts the trade term does seem to be pendant lamps, and more generally they're called hanging or suspended lights/lamps. On checking an online lighting emporium regarding the drop lamp, they do seem to be describing the teardrop shape as much as the fact that it is suspended.
