    "Academic"

    Hello,

    In the member type:
    What does "Academic" mean?

    What is the difference between
    "Academic" and "Student or Learner"?

    Re: "Academic"

We normally understand an academic to be somebody, usually based at a university, who studies a subject at an advanced level. Academics frequently teach, lecture and/or write papers and books.

    Thank you

could it mean someone who learn and teach at the same time?

    what we call this person:
someone who had finished his studying and graduated
but stays at home and does not work his job ( English teacher)
    or works another job?

I can't think of a one-word answer to your second question.
