R.1. The mining of minerals often brings about the destruction of landscapes and wildlife habitants
A mining B brings about C the destruction D wildlife
The answer is B. brings about but I don't know how to correct it
There's no way to correct anything without knowing the question.
2. They would rather see the boat race than the cricket match
A They prefer seeing the boat race than the cricket match
B Seeing the cricket match is not as likeable as boat race
C seeing the boat race is rather than watching them
D They don’t like to see the cricket match as much as the boat race.
The answer is D but I think it should be A. Do you think D is better than A
If the exercise is to choose which of A - D means roughly the same as 2, either A, B or D is correct.
A is not so good because the usual phrase is "prefer X to Y", not "prefer X than Y"
B is a mess.
D is also a dog's breakfast. I'd find it hard to choose any of them, but maybe I'd tick A.
