    I wonder if there is subtle difference between "1" and "2".
    1. Mother had me clean my room.
    2. Mother got me to clean my room.

    "Got me to" usually implies that she has difficulty getting you to do it.

    After complaining for weeks, my wife finally got me to clean up the basement.
