    Smile Loose Tableware / Dinnerware

    Greetings everyone,

    I'm a new English student.

May I know the meaning of "loose tableware or dinnerware"? I've seen this term at many shopping centers.

Thank you in advance for any reply.

Sounds to me like items sold individually, as opposed to a set of tableware.

If you need to buy 2 plates and 4 coffee cups, you could do it where they are sold "loose."

(If you buy cutlery in a 'boxed set' it's called 'a canteen of cutlery'.)
