kids your age like to fit in with the crowd?

1.kids your age - Is it informal for "kids of(at) your age" or is it common?
I think it's informal and grammatically weird.

    2. the crowd- Is it your peer group like same kids in the example or the general people?

ex)Kids your age like to fit in with the crowd. They always try to put on what others wear....

    1. It's definitely informal, it's not weird, and it's common.

    2. The crowd means the peer group.

I read it as "Kids (who are) your age."
