    TURNS

    Dear all,

    What does "turns" mean here:

    [
I had hurt my foot badly in December and couldn’t do anything on a snowboard for six weeks. I went to the Red Bull training centre where they took care of me 24/7 for six weeks. And then I felt that it went better day. In the end, I did my first turns three days before I took off, three days before Korea!”]

    Thanks a lot.

I imagine that 'turns' are turning manoeuvres on the snowboard.

Can we substitute it by "runs" for example because in this context he was ill and then 3 days before the champion, he did "3 turns"!

Can you get waht I mean? If it's not literal here, what do kindly think it should stand for?

    Thanks.

    Re: TURNS

I see no reason why it should not be literal. After six weeks at the Red Bull centre he made progress, and was finally able to do a turn on the snowboard.
