    to be

I want to explain about a woman who has been married and gave birth as a third person among my married friends

So I made a sentence like this by using 'to be': "She is the third person to be married and gave birth "

I just wonder if the sentence above is correct

Is it acceptable if I use 'to be' in that sentence?

I'd really appreciate to whomever answer my question

    ***** NOT A TEACHER *****

    I would suggest something like:

I have married friends and single friends. Mona is the third

of my married friends to give birth.

    Re: to be

'To give birth' is a little formal. I'd say, "...to have a baby".

    In addition to freezeframe's suggestion:

Ex: She is the third (person) among my married friends to have (had) a baby.

The words in brackets (...) are optional.
