    Hello,

    Imagine you are on the bus and before your get off the bus, you have to.... press the button, ring the bell....Which is the right expression?

    You are signaling the driver that you want him to stop at the next stop, right?

    Where I live we press a button which rings the bell.

    'Ring the bell' is fine.
