    kneel down on the ground

"Last night my best friend got home nearly midnight, her mom got really angry and punished her to kneel down on the ground until the break of dawn"

Can I use this sentence in conversations?

    Thank you so much

How old is your friend? If she is under 18, you should be having this conversation with the child welfare authorities.

This is a gut reaction from a retired New York City social worker. I imagine things work a bit differently in Vietnam.
