For computer, what are the differences between screen and monitor?

I heard people saying both to the same thing.

    Re: screen and monitor

Screen is the part of the monitor/TV/electronic device that displays the information.

Monitor is the hardware that contains the screen and that you connect to your computer. You can sometimes use monitor instead of screen such as in "the pictures are displayed on your monitor".

Laptops have screens but not monitors, but you can connect an external monitor to them.
