1. What do we call the tiny little things in white after we squeezed the acne?

2. We use the file to polish the hard skin for the fingers and feet. One side of the file is rough while another side is a bit fine.

3. What do we call the rough side?

4. What do we call the fine side?

5. What do we call the powdery stuff creating after the hard skin was polished?

As you mentioned:

I was told in school that :

a. when there are only two things/choices, we should use another for the second one.


b. when there are more than two things/choices, we should use the other.

You have the rule backwards. If there are only two things, then you have one and "the other." If you have more than two things, use "another" or "others."

I have two dogs. One is named Marci and the other is named Peppermint Patty.

I have four cats. One is named Morris, another is Sebastian, and the third is Chloe.

There are many nice places to stay here. There's the Ship Inn, and others include Mable's B&B, the Pilot House, and even the local Holiday Inn here is very nice.
