    negative questions

    1. Is not life more important than food?
    2. Isn't life more important than food?
    3. Is life not more important than food?
What's the difference between the above three questions?

    Re: negative questions

No difference in meaning for me. The second one seems most natural. The first seems like something from poetry.

I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.

I was typing on my iPhone and must have made a typo, which the oh-so-helpful autocorrect changed without my noticing.

There are whole Web sites dedicated to the errors that appear as a result of autocorrect.

The word was supposed to be "first."

The oh-so-helpful can sometimes turns to oh-my-god.

Amen. If you want to read more embarrassing ones than this (mine just caused confusion), google "Damn You, Autocorrect."

Or, someone can start a new thread on embarrassing auto-correct issues.
